Belvoir Park Lake, located in Wodonga, Victoria, is the site of a recent project by Fytogreen. The project involved the design and installation of 50m² of engineered floating wetlands, which are designed to assist in cleaning stormwater in North East Victoria.

The floating wetland system is assembled on-site and has positive buoyancy, which allows it to float on the water surface.   The system consists of 12 engineered modules, each measuring 2.2m long x 1.9m wide 1. The modules are planted with 40mm established plants, which enable immediate toleration of wildlife, with a total of 360 plants from a selection of 9 unique species.

The project was commissioned by the City of Wodonga and completed in September 2023, Fytogreen is also responsible for maintaining the wetlands.  It’s exciting to see the positive impact that this project will have on the environment, and we are positive that the plants grow and settle into their new home quickly.
