Beer DeLuxe brings a lush leafy atmosphere to Federation Square

Location -  Beer DeLuxe, Federation Square, Melbourne

Client  - Australian Venue Co.

Design & Install  - Fytogreen Australia

Completion  - April 2022

Beer DeLuxe in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD has transformed its outdoor dining experience by incorporating fresh lush greenery by Fytogreen.  The planters enhance the aesthetic appeal of the venue and create a more inviting and sustainable environment for patrons.

The design features over 100 native plants, including mature trees, across 9 different species that provide a lush, leafy atmosphere at Federation Square.  These planters are strategically placed to create natural partitions, offering patrons privacy while dining outdoors. The use of native species ensures that the plants are well-adapted to local conditions, promoting sustainability and reducing maintenance requirements.

The project was completed in April 2022, with photos taken in August 2024 showing 18 months of growth, demonstrating the health and vitality of the plants.

Patrons of Beer DeLuxe now enjoy their beverages surrounded by verdant foliage that provides a serene escape from the bustling city environment. This green oasis enhances customer satisfaction by offering a unique dining experience that combines the best of nature and urban living.

This project is a perfect example of how commercial establishments can successfully integrate nature into their infrastructure.
Planters are a cost effective option to create inviting spaces for customers while contributing positively to environmental conservation efforts. This project serves as an excellent example of how urban spaces can be transformed to enhance both aesthetic appeal and ecological sustainability.
