As part of the iconic W Brisbane development on 300 George Street, Fytogreen was engaged to design and deliver a bespoke, fully curved FytoWall system to wrap a prominent structural column within the porte‑cochère arrival area. This lush cylindrical green wall serves as a living centrepiece, welcoming guests into the hotel with a bold, tropical aesthetic that complements the building’s contemporary design language.

Today, Fytogreen continues to maintain the curved column green wall, ensuring its long-term health and premium presentation.

Project Delivery

Fytogreen managed the full design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the curved column living wall, coordinating closely with Multiplex during construction to ensure integration with structural, services and façade elements.

Upon completion, the installation immediately transformed the entry space into a vibrant, organic feature that has become one of the site’s most memorable visual elements.

Maintenance

Since opening in 2018, Fytogreen has continued to maintain the column green wall, ensuring it remains healthy, vibrant and structurally sound. Maintenance includes:

• horticultural health monitoring
• irrigation performance checks
• nutrient management
• plant density audits and replacements where required

The other green walls on the property are currently maintained by separate contractors; however, Fytogreen remains the trusted specialist for the curved column feature.
